Visual improvisation
Sometimes the journey begins with a spark but it quickly grows into something larger. The creative process for me can start with a small idea but then morph into something much more elaborate. I often don't know where it will go, much similar to improvisational music I make with my band Fractal Mountain and like that of Phish or the Grateful Dead, two of my biggest musical influences. I have spent my life exploring adventures both in music and again now in art. We are in this together, let's get strapped in for another trip around the sun and see what unfolds! We can create a world of beauty and hopefully that helps us all be kinder and better to each other. Let me know what you think along the way.
Bio
I am Scott Dash, an artist from Huntington Beach, California. I started drawing at an early age and have recently started exploring digital art techniques. I studied music at Cal State Fullerton and have had a successful music lesson business for the last twenty years. Meanwhile I started drawing pictures for my kids in recent years. They would beg me to draw video game characters and such. Then I remembered all the fun I had drawing back in high school. Thus the journey began. I have found joy rediscovering my love for illustration. My love for music and art often intertwine as I have a passion for rock and album art. I also love fantasy and comic book illustration.
